Managing Director of Lamerd Cement: The only way to save the country's cement factories is to reduce the gap created between the price of cement in the country and the world market.

Ebrahim Gholamzadeh, CEO of Lamerd Cement, in an interview with IRIB, in response to a reporter's question about the inflammation of the cement market and the fluctuations of recent months, said: The export of cement and clinker has no effect on the price of domestic cement, because We have about 30 million tons of surplus cement production in the country, only half of which can be exported. Also, about 20 million tons of clinker are stored in the country's cement factories that can not be sold, so barriers and problems with cement pricing. Due to several factors such as, multiple increase in transportation costs, increase in the price of envelopes, increase in profit margins of cement agents due to increase in cement prices, increase in performance tax of agents whose taxes are added to their cost price and role-playing There are some intermediaries who deliver cement to the consumer at a price higher than the approved price. He acknowledged: "In line with our customer orientation, which has always been among the priorities of the organization, we have decided to implement the online sales program in Lamerd and Estahban Cement companies in accordance with the tonnage requested by the customer and at the approved price." It will be operational within the next week, thus eliminating intermediaries, reducing the gap between the real price and the market price, and providing cement to our customers at a reasonable price. He added: "The current problem of the cement industry is the decrease in demand in world markets due to sanctions and Corona disease, which has led to a significant reduction in cement and clinker exports over the past 9 months. Ebrahim Gholamzadeh regarding the two-stage increase in cement prices per year Jari added: "Currently, the price of ten kilos of cement is cheaper than a pack of salt puffs. The world price of cement is $ 80, while our cement is sold at one-eighth of the world price, and unfortunately the 20% increase in cement prices in July is a very small increase." Despite the follow-up of the Cement Industry Employers Association on reasonable pricing of this basic commodity, the price of cement was suppressed and led to the loss of many factories that could not compensate their costs, as well as price increases. The announcement in October was the only increase in the price of cement bags, and in fact, in the second half of the year, no increase was made. He noted: The impact of cement on the cost of housing is less than 2%, while in the country we have 70 cement factories that employ over 100,000 people directly and about 2 million people are indirectly dependent on this large industry. Therefore, the only way to save the cement factories is to regulate the price of this main element of construction. He concluded: Due to the cheap sale of Iranian cement among the countries of the Persian Gulf and rising customs costs, a large part of the markets We have lost our exports and the Trade Development Organization, the Ministry of Silence, Customs and the responsible institutions should enter the field of Iranian export cement prices and prevent the sale of cement at a much lower price than the world market.
